3/4/5 June – Head to the Bay for The Cool Sounds of Jazz 

We would argue that the South West is the place to be on any weekend – what could be more ideal.

Nevertheless, once every year it exceeds even its own expectations and becomes the only place to be for jazz lovers everywhere, as the now famous annual Jazz by the Bay event swings round. It all begins on Friday 3rd June and winds its way through to Sunday 5th June where the follower’s lounge, listen and gently rock to moody, blue notes of piano, sax, bass and drums.

May 20-22 has a Live Music Session at Swings & Roundabouts (a short 10-15 minute drive down Caves Rd from the resort)  from noon-3pm, ideal for the family and featuring local artist  Tom Day. Anytime is a good time to visit the south west but Winter down south can be quite special to get out an about amongst the wineries, enjoy the last of the autumnal tones of the vineyards, or just enjoy our magnificent coastal and bush-land environment.

SunSmart Busselton Festival of Triathlon incorporating the SunSmart IRONMAN 70.3.image

SunSmart IRONMAN 70.3 Busselton is one of the largest events of its type in Australia and the Asia Pacific region. Many spectators line the foreshore of Busselton to cheer on the athletes over the 1.9km swim in the pristine waters of Geographe Bay, 90.1km flat and fast bike leg thru the Tuart Forest and a 21.1km run along the foreshore of Busselton. Its a great opportunity  for the whole family to become involved.

Aside from the action of the triathalon, both Margaret River and Vasse Markets are  happening Saturday and the foreshore markets in Busselton on Sunday.
